Moyes Loses More Than Lescott.

Everton fans like to tell everyone about their history, not the details, just the fact they have 'History'. When Evertonians wake up on Monday morning, they should jot down August 23rd, 2009 in their journals with an entry proclaiming that the club has hit an all time low.

Having just been defeated by Premier League newcomers Burnley, they find themselves bottom of the table with no points from a possible 6. A goal difference of -6, after just two games doesn't sweeten the pill either. This is hardly a reason for mass panic, Tottenham Hotspur showed us that a team can go several months without a win, yet still obtain a respectable league position. What should be of genuine concern to the Everton faithful is the deteriorating behaviour of their manager.

If you read articles about David Moyes, the words 'bright' and 'young' are never far away. This earnest young Scotsman (who's actually older than Mark Hughes) commanded a great deal of respect for his stewardship of Everton with a limited budget, but lost a great deal of credibility once Manchester City decided that Joleon Lescott would be better suited to life in East Manchester.

City made a formal bid of £15 Million for Lescott, purely an opening gambit that was rejected out of hand. By the time a second bid of £18 Million was lodged, City fans realised that the best place to track the progress of their clubs pursuit of Lescott was the official Everton website. Moyes wasn't happy and began a series of diatribes against City that bordered on the fanatical. He started with the standard "He's not for sale" tag, just as he had with Wayne Rooney. He then accused City of being disrespectful and demanded an inquiry into alleged tapping-up. He might be 'bright' and 'young' but even the most casual of fans know that you can't 'tap-up' a player who has handed in a written transfer request.

Everton were thumped 1-6 by Arsenal because of City, The Toffees beat Czech village team, Sigma Olomouc despite of City and the latest humiliation at Burnley was because City 'Haggled' over the price of Lescott. The man who said Joleon Lescott wasn't for sale at any price was now saying City were at fault for not making a ridiculous bid in June. The confirmation of David Moyes's failing grip on reality was confirmed when he added that Ronaldo's move from United to Real Madrid was transfer business as it should be. Sorry Davy boy, but the world and his wife knows that, that particular deal was sorted out 12 months earlier.

Everton promote themselves as 'The Peoples Club' despite the fact that one man, Bill Kenwright, is very much in charge. He has left his manager out to dry on this occasion but will doubtless be pleased with the £17 Million profit his club have made on the deal. People will scoff at the price City paid for Lescott - let them. We have secured the youngest of England's 4 recognised centre backs, playing as a competant stand-in left back for both club and country is not a bad attribute either. The World Cup is only 10 months away and Lescott not only wants to be on that plane, he wants to be in that starting line up. He needs City, City need him, Everton need the money - everyone should be happy. Evertonians should hope David Moyes now concentrates on managing his players rather than entering into PR wars he is never going to win.

  2. Oh were happy alright, we just ripped 24 ,il out of a second rate club (And thats probably overstating citys status) for a decent but definately not great centre half. We will now buy two centre halves with the cash that are at least as good, if not better than Lescott.Yes indeed, everybodys happy. And talking of history, remind us all of Sittehs great history would you? hahahaha

  5. I have never read such a stinking pile of shit in my life. Everton has history yes, and even with all that eastern money you lot have, you will never buy the success and history everton have. Lescott was tapped up long before he handed in a transfer request, and even with all your money you wont be able hide that. expect fines and points deductions. 24 million is hilarious for england fringe squad member with a fucked up knee. by the way man city has no friends in football anymore!

  8. How naive and deluded do you have to be to think that City will be fined and have points deducted for "tapping up" a player? Moyes has been guilty of talking about players before he's signed them as well, see Senderos and Banega as proof of that, Banega especially, Moyes told the Everton official site that the deal was almost done and at the same time Valencia made a statements saying there's been no negotiations or talks and he wasn't going anywhere.

On Benega, its funny that as Benega's agent had a represnetative at the work permit hearing on Friday. And one newspaper printed that story and Sky and Goal.com and Mancs decided it was true as it suited them.

Its like this weblog. Full of lies and untruths.

Your club broke the FIFA transfer regulations and spoke to Lescott's agents without our (Everton's) permission, which under contract was illegal.

Yes you you get fined, and as this is not the first time this summer you've done that yes you will get a points deduction.

Manchity. Perpatrators of inderterminate terminological inexactitudes.

Oh and a small club with on a quarter of Everton's league titles.

How do you like that for history?

  12. The shadow runs long and deep from manure and all the money in arabia won't drag you out from underneath it. Thanks for the cash, but remember he has not joined a progressive football club, he, along with the rest have joined for double your money per week. If the offer came from someone else the the future to double their money it will be bye bye shitty.

  13. You arnt even the best team in manchester.

    Superpower my arse.

And old pink nose was right when he spoke about your "club".

    Small minded.

And two games in and we're championship? That's as laughable as saying your're champions.
Lot to go yet, you small and inexperienced small clubs need to remember that!

Oh and did I not say? You're a small club? No? Small. Very small. Only two league titles small.

    No class dignity or anything.

Tapping up is the only thing you are good at infact. Congrats.

  14. Well that wasd an interesting 2 minute read of your "History". Thanks for that.I notice that Sittehs greatest successes are winning the Second tier of english football 7 times, Impressive indeed, How many PROPER titles was it again? Oh yeah, its 2 isnt it? And the last one was when? History?, dont make me laugh. The best part of Sittehs history is the bit about Scuttlers, that suits your flimsy little small time club and its fand down to the ground. Feel free to show us more of your History if and when yopu ever win something, I wont hold my breath.

  15. Oh Nice to see Mark Reid has been let out to play again by his mummy. After the absolute battering he took on Everton Banter. Nice to have you back Mark. One eyed as usual.

Look at the end of the day, you got a good price for Lescott. Yes 24m is a lot of money, and I am reliably informed that the Sheikh had to break into his change jar by the fridge, rather that than break open the wallet eh. A further plus point on this deal was that we also got to unsettle your club, make baconface jnr burst a blood vessel or 2 and now you have lost 2 games that you should have won. I think you are going to struggle with a capital S this year.
But Evertonians, don't fret. When you move into your brand new 38k seat stadium and fill it to the rafters, things will be ok. You will be able to compete with Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers in league 2.

  16. Lol at all the sad scousers weeping into their cornflakes this morning! Yes, £24m is undoubtedly a lot money for a player. But like one of you said, you can go out and buy a couple of quality players now. If they're any good, we'll buy them from you too. Everton are nothing but a small, small team nowadays and nothing more than City's feeder club. Enjoy your history.

  17. Easiest way to deal with idiots like this is to not publish their tripe, that way they have wasted their time for nothing, no one likes wasting their time.

  18. What a lot of sad little toffee wums.
History means nothing in the present you losers, i could not care less about who has the best history thats school boy, playground stuff. I have been there and am only interested in where we are going and it's up up up. Whereas you lot will hopefully going where you belong down down down, where maybe you will learn humility like we did instead of all the arrogant sheite that you have been spouting this last few weeks.People's club, great history, great fans, top 6 club YAWN.

  19. just in response to bobothy's comments; you should read back over your comments when you are done reading this. you say david moyes talks about players before signing them, well sparky did'nt mention lescott's name all summer, did he???? i think you are WRONG! how deluded were arsenal when they took the ashley cole affair to the f.a. chelsea were fined and suspended 3 points deduction. i think its a little more obvious this time, think back to the start of the summer when lescott was asked about the man city move, while playing for england. lescott's response "as far as i know i play for everton" with a big stupid guilty look on his face. Plus it is so obvious that man city have done everything to disrupt evertons season and the whole country is talking about that. You know that sparky is the bookies favourite to be the 1st manager to get the boot this season. well i will be rubbing my hands when he gets showin the door, knowing well that he will be a pauper manager again. and finally do you remember the a.b.u. days? well its a.b.c. time now, and i cant wait til man u rip you lot apart in september. enjoy guzzling your gravy and have fun as the most arrogant, classless, pigs in england.
